HOSTED THRU OPEN PORT 80

Hi, I set up dolibarr with for internet access by opening port 80 forwarded to the localhost. This works seems good for now… I just wanted to ask, how about my security? Do you think this is a good setup?

Is it still running? It’s generally a bad idea to open anything up to the wild west but if you need remote access to it while you learn how to harden the system, you can use free VPN’s such as Hamachi. Then you can close port 80.

Hamachi is closed source!

You HAVE TO trust the provider.

Best regards

Sadly most easy-to-use services and hardware rely too heavily on trust. But sending plaintext passwords needs to be addressed quickly until ranman can do further reading.
