install ubuntu credentials wrong

hello,

I’m fairly new at working with ubuntu
i installed Dolibarr from synaptic, no errors occured.
after opening Dolibarr the install or upgrade screen goes on.
And then i have to give username and password to create a database.
Whatever i fill in, i always get the message that credentials are wrong and that i have to go back to fill in the right one.
what is expected there? my master login or password?
additionally i made a user called dolibarr with administrator rights but that also does not work when i fill in those credentials

The master password to create database should be root
The password should be a value entered when mysql package was installed. Did you try empty field ?

Try to remove mysql from synaptic and reinstall it to have a chance to have the system ask you the master password of database.
