Upgrading to the latest version

Installing my Dolibarr

We are currently on 3.6.2 and we want to upgrade to the latest version. What would be the best way to do this?

  1. We could create a new version and migrate the data.
  2. We could upgrade at major releases, like 4, 5 and 6.
  3. We could upgrade at to the most recent stable version.

What would be the recommended path to take?

I would suggest backup and then option 2
