Error de SQL DB_ERROR_1071 Specified key was too l

Installing my Dolibarr

During installation, in step 2, I get the following kind of error messages:
Error de SQL DB_ERROR_1071 Specified key was too long; max key length is 767 bytes

They appear while trying to create foreign keys and indexes in many tables. It appears to be a bug. Is there a tested solution for this? I think it is related to MariaDB, not to the install scripts.

I am using mariadb-server-10.1 on GNU/Debian Linux 9.9
