On creation of “Orders” and “Invoices” the date defaults to 1917 and today’s date ex: 1927/09/19.
I tried to select the correct date but it stays on the 1917 date, even if typed manual using alternative formats.
What to do as my work has come to an standstill as a result of this?

I just updated as requested and the problem is still the same showing the 1917 date.
Is your timezone settings correct in Dolibarr?
Yes, Timezone is setup for my area.
If it was incorrect would, it make such a big difference by about 100 years and why then does manual changing it still defaults it back to 1017?
Doubt that it is timezone related. But yes, you can tick that one from the list.

I have moved away from Dolibarr to a different application.
Do not worry to resolve this for me any further.
What application have you decided to use?
I opted for Odoo for operational day to day activities and www.waveapp.com for invoicing.
