# Bank and cash module and transaction categories

Hi from Italy. I saw there was an old topic about transaction category for old versions of Dolibarr, but nothing about version 9.0 and more.

This is my question if anyone can help me, please.

I use …/compta/bank/categ.php (transaction categories),  
but the value can be only inserted AFTER a transaction is active in the list,  
from …/compta/bank/ligne.php?rowid=x66&save\_lastsearch\_values=1-

It is impossible to enter the value of translation category when you insert a transaction  
because Dolibarr uses only various payments for new transaction  
…/compta/bank/various\_payment/card.php?action=create

How can I insert the field “Transaction category” as in  
…/compta/bank/ligne.php?rowid=x66&save\_lastsearch\_values=1-  
also in  
…/compta/bank/various\_payment/card.php?action=create  
???
