# How do I add Invoice\> Complementary Attributes (invoices)\> Custom to E-mail template notification?

Hello, I’m seeking some help. Been using doliabrr for around 9 months now, still learning and customizing the system. Not sure if what I want is possible.

I went into Setup \> Modules \> Invoices \> Complementary Attributes (invoices)\> Custom, created a custom field displayed in the New Invoice portion (Attribute code “room\_number”):

Basically I need to enter a Room Number, which is easily changed at any point of the invoice life cycle (Draft, Valid, Paid), which I achieved successfully:

When an invoice is validated, an e-mail notification goes out to an address, which is properly setup and works fine. **My question is: I don’t see the “room\_number” attribute showing up in the Avaliable Substitution Variables. It doesn’t show up in the e-mail notifications sent. The other variables are being pulled from the invoice, working as intended.**

I tried doing this using ExtraField as shown below. What am I doing wrong? What is the correct method? Is what I want even possible this way in a simple way?
