MAIN_DIRECT_STATUS_UPDATE not working in version 12?

Is anyone using hidden option MAIN_DIRECT_STATUS_UPDATE in version 12? It doesn’t work for me in version 12.0.3. The buttons to change “for sale/not for sale, for purchase/not for purchase” appear and are clickable but after refreshing the page the product stays as it was before clicking the button.
Can anyone else confirm this issue?

and you have also press “save” button in bottom of page

Thanks for your reply nemprinter. No save button shown. I have checked the list and product pages, can’t see any save button.
