Cannot Group Delete Variants

I am trying to use the checkboxes to group delete variants on the parent product card tab called Variants. I select the variants I want to delete by checking the checkboxes, select Delete from the Bulk Actions drop down box, and then click Apply. Instead of deleting the variants, I get an error page. See screen shots.

Anyone else encounter this? Suggestions?

As a side note, the other options in the drop down box do work: For Sale, For Purchase, Not for Sale, Not for Purchase. I can group edit those options. Just cannot Delete variants using the checkboxes. I can, however, delete them one at a time using the trash can icon.
