Can anyone help me how to do this upgrade smoothly as we are using dolibarr since two years now.
Backup your Database first!
- Disable all custom modules.

I can see this is little bit complicatedā¦ and I am not sure if I can go back to the same status in case I am not able to do the upgradeā¦ is their a way to copy the existing setup to other location so I can try it on the copy and keep the original setup untouched until I am sure I can do it.
You must not consider doing an upgrade any other way!
It is absolute madness to even think of upgrading a production site without having first done trial runs on a development server.

It would be helpful to get wiki editing permission and correct anything that is out of date for the benefit of others.
