Company/Organization setup not saving

Installing my Dolibarr

I’ve just installed Dolibarr on my local Linux computer.
Everything went ok but now when I login as admin I get these two setup warnings
Before starting to use Dolibarr some initial parameters must be defined and modules enabled/configured. Setup parameters can be set by administrator users only. The mandatory setup steps are the 2 first steps in the Setup menu, namely :

Setup -> Company/Organization
Basic parameters used to customize the default behavior of Dolibarr (e.g for country-related features).
Mandatory setup parameters are not yet defined

Setup -> Modules/Applications
Dolibarr ERP/CRM is a collection of many modules/applications, all more or less independent. The modules relevant to your needs must be enabled and configured. New items/options are added to menus with the activation of a module.

These messages (are always shown after a new install and) seem to me to be pretty self-explanatory as to the actions required, so what is your question?

I forgot to add that the main problem is not these set up steps.
But the fact that filing the field and hitting “save” does not work.
It does not save the company info.
Also, I don’t fill in everything, only a few of the fields.
None are marked as required.

Ok, I’ve solved the problem.
From Apache error logs it was saying I had to set date.timezone in php.ini.
Once I’ve done that, the company setup finished and saved fine.
