0% Vat Rate for other countries not working

Hello everyone,

So I have come across a problem which, based on my reading, should be a feature in dolibarr. I am trying to get the system to ignore the VAT rate for any client not residing in my companies country. I have read about this issue a bit and based on my reading this should be automatic in a vanilla dolibarr install. However I have already heavly modified my Dolibarr install so that I can not be sure if I have a problem on dolibarrs side or if I have broken something during my work. Has aynone gotten this feature to work ? I have disabled all vat rates for my traget country in the dictionary which are not 0%, however dolibarr keeps taking the Vat defined on the products themselfes instead of using the defined vat rates. Any help would be appreciated.

In my setup only domestic sales VAT is charged, international sales no VAT is applied.
This works straight out of the box noting required to configure I think. You might want to check your

Dictionary setup - VAT Rates or Sales Tax Rates

and see for which countries you have set up VAT Rates

Hello,

Check also if your customers have a country ! (we had a problem because at the import we bypassed the country of a customer)

on my side, if we say the customer should not be subject to VAT + has “something” in VAT code field
VAT is deactivated…
if I remember well, but it was after a lot of tests !
