Yes many Sales Managers use Optional lines of products/services too provide customer with more qualified suggestions. It will be great for Dolibarr to have this opportunity for Proposal module. The idea is to have lines with “optional” mark and to list only UP and QTY without including the price in the total of the Proposal. After confirmation from the customer - when closing the offer there have to be question - “Convert optional to valuable products/services?” . If the customer accept optional products/services - Dolibarr have to calculate this lines in a total of the Proposal and after that converting Proposal -> Customers Order to include optional lines in regular lines. If the customer don’t want options Dolibarr have to remove optional lines when converting Proposal -> Customer order.
I made such workaround for the moment with Extra fields for lines and using .odt templates with embedded previously saved macros, but really its little bit strange for users to work with ERP and to reach required final result by using external office tools.

sorry for bringing up that old thread - but has there anything changed within the last 9 years?
I was not able to find anything like that - but I would really need such a feature.
