AI Assistants Module Update: Introducing Claude 3.5 with Vision Capabilities

Dear Dolibarr community,

I’m excited to share some significant improvements to the AI Assistants module, driven largely by your feedback and suggestions. Here’s what’s new:

New AI Integration

  • Added support for Anthropic’s Claude 3.5 (Sonnet and Haiku models), which excel at technical documentation, code analysis, and multilingual tasks
  • Claude 3.5 Sonnet now includes Vision capabilities: analyze charts, diagrams, mathematical formulas, and technical drawings directly through images

Enhanced User Experience

  • Conversation history management: You can now edit conversation titles
  • One-click sharing: Generate unique links to share specific AI conversations with colleagues or clients without requiring login
  • More flexible API integration: Choose between multiple AI providers (OpenAI, Perplexity, Anthropic, Fal.ai)

Coming Soon

Based on community feedback, I’m working on:

  • Contextual AI processing for existing Dolibarr content (products, projects, tickets)
  • AI-powered database querying capabilities

Note: The module requires API keys from your chosen providers, ensuring you only pay for what you use. Most models are surprisingly cost-effective (processing 2,000 pages worth of text costs less than $1 USD).

Hi Caos30,

I’m currently building a custom CRM/TMS for our logistics company, Zippy Freight, and I’m really interested in your AI Assistants Module with vision capabilities. My team is developing workflow lifecycle tracking and document verification systems using OCR and NLP for processing documents like driver’s licenses, W-9s, PODs, BOLs, and insurance claims.

We’re also working on fraud prevention tools (patent pending) that generate unique hashes for document validation and metadata analysis. I’m exploring ways to integrate AI into Dolibarr’s workflows and thought your module might align perfectly with our goals.
