In many of the other products I’ve used, I’m able to set up an auto-number / auto-id / auto reference key along with a naming convention, so when I add products / customers / etc., I can have them in a consistent format.
For example, for parts, I might do something like:
INV-12345-00001 = which might be inventory part, category 12345 (hardware), part 00001 (first part in the series)
A second item in that category might default to having a product / reference number like:
INV-12345-0002 - Hardware, Part Num 2
An item in another category might be: INV-30303-2002 (perhaps the 2002 item in the 30303 category (Accessories, for example).
Is there any way to do this in Dolibarr? So far, it seems like I have to randomly use a reference number but if I could auto-number these - really in any format - that’d be awesome.
