Can't install dolibarr-14.0.5-0.4.noarch.rpm on fedora 35

Hello,

I’m trying to install version 14 on a Fedora 35 machine with the RPM I found on sourceforge, it fails with an error:

Error:
Problem: conflicting requests

  • nothing provides php-imap needed by dolibarr-14.0.5-0.4.noarch
(try to add ‘–skip-broken’ to skip uninstallable packages)

I search for a php-imap package on Fedora but it seems to be deprecated (it existed on Fedora 34 but hasn’t been ported to 35).

Can I install without this package and get a functional Dolibarr ?

Thanks!

Hello,

I’m not a specialist of Fedora but, php-imap seems to exist in Fedora 35 : php73-php-imap-7.3.32-1.fc35.remi.x86_64.rpm

Thanks, I didn’t know about this repo, I’ll try with enabling it!

It worked, I could install it successfully, thanks! However, I don’t know what to do next since it doesn’t seem to have started a systemd service or an apache server… and the documentation about installing on Fedora only says “dnf install dolibarr.rpm” (which I did after enabling then remi repo) and nothing more…

You should have an apache server installed…

I had to configure it to find dolibarr, but we ended up dropping the idea of dolibarr because the configuration fails systematically with a gateway timeout on the browser, and after that trying to login with the username and password created on the configuration page failed (invalid username/password). Maybe we’ll try again some day in the future.
