Can't update to 3.7.1 bo MySQL. What to do?

Hi,

I’m using Dolibarr since 2 years ago. I’m on a shared hosting, and all updates are done using softaculous. Recently I got a message about a new update (3.7.1) and it says I cannot update to it because I’m using an older MySQL database. What can I do now? I thought about contacting my hosting provider, but I’m not sure if that’s their fault, because the offer different versions. I think I should update my database, but how can I do it in a safe way? Any tips?

contact your hosting company to uprage your my sql to version require they should offer support how to do or even be kind enough to carry out for you, explain you are trying to install dolibarr, my hosting comapny helped me to install dolibarr the first time when i was having problems.

its a well known fact that some mysql vesions are buggy. So your provider should consider this.

Hi
Were You able to solve this problem? I am now experiencing that same issue, and was hoping to get feedback from someone who has solved the problem

The “E” in ERP stands for “Enterprise”.

Although it’s well suited for SMBs too, Dolibarr software requires users with at least some technical background eg. able to install the software themselves and NOT people relying on a “packaged” installer alone …

As a minimum you should be able to compare the Dolibarr requirements with the ones advertized by your hoster.

If not, knowledgeable Dolibarr partners are available to help you - for a professional fee.
