Customer, Vendor Code invalid?

After Creating the Third parties there an error Message " CU2204-00003 (Customer code invalid) ".

could you also check if you made a change to the numbering schema in the thirdparties module after you created the thirdparty? Or did you keep the standard setting (“monkey”)?
