Dolibarr runs on local server or only online?

Hello,
I am new at this thing of erp and crm. I want to start using this dolibarr software because I think it feets perfectly the needs of the office and is very easy to use but in order to decide using it I need to know it the software runs on local server instead of internet. We have a lot of important information from our clientes (such as bank accounts) and we can´t risk to have this info on the net, also if some day internet does´nt work we can´t work and this for us is a big big big problem…

Yes, if you use DoliWamp, everything is installed locally. No need of internet

Ok I found it Dolimamp is the same as Doliwamp exept this is for mac

This is totaly safe right? If we don´t work online nobody can get into our clients details.

DoliWamp sets up small web server on your computer. So if you are directly connected to internet, have static ip address and somebody knows it, there is a small chance, that your installation can be accessed from outside world. Chance is small, but still possible. It is good idea to set up simple firewall or add router between your computer and outside network.
