DOlibarr with PHP 8.0

Hello everyone,

im using Dolibar 12.0.3 at the moment with PHP 7.4 and everything works just fine.

My server provider just announced that they will no longer support PHP 7.4 from November onwards. Even i would upgrade my Dolibarr i can see in the list that only PHP 7.4 is supported.

what is the solution to this ? Which problems might occur if i try to run it under PHP 8.0, or will it not run at all?

it will be support from V16 when it is release PHP 8.x

Any idea when this will be released? I have tried to activate the PHP 8.0 on my Dolibarr trial server. It is not working.

i have try that Beta V17 they have in the bottom of the screen in “Download”

this one run with PHP 8.1.2 in my tryout server
but Release date is not written any where so i hop it happens soon

Normally, major release are out in January or June : Category:RoadMap - Dolibarr ERP CRM Wiki

V16 was supposed to by out in June 2022, but due to the number of warnings in PHPV8, it has been postponed.
I think it should be out this month.

  1. I think if your Dolibarr installation is important, move to another server which continue to support PHP 7.4.

  2. Else, setup your own small server, a VPS with the required environment.

Hi KSar,

this works 17.0.0-alpha with PHP 8.0. Anyway will still wait if there’s official launch of the V16.

Hello again,

i was able to manually put back my PHP to 7.4, however only until November 28.

Any idea when there’s a new stable V17 with PHP 8?

V16 is out and OK with PHP V8 (except some warnings)
