field server-/ workforce management

Hey community,

I am wondering if their is a way to use Dolibarr as a work force management tool, to plan onsite interventions at our customers premises for all our technicians. We need of course a way to get our job, with some kind of an intervention report, signed by our customers. This can be either with a printed document, or preferably paper less with an iPhone/Android app with possibility for digital signature capturing be accomplished. (ePOD)

Do you see a way of achieving this with Dolibarr?

Many thanks for your thoughts and hints already! I appreciate any kind of feedback!

myDoli seems to have all the features you’re looking as an addon to about $10 USD per year/user.

Thanks for your feedback. I found myDoli already, but I am not sure if that software is still under development. In the App Store, they are talking about compatibility with Dolibarr 5.x. Currently we are on 7.x… I wrote the developer now 2 Emails already, but never received any answer. That’s why I’m wondering if there is no other solution maybe…

We’ve been using the free myDoli v1.5.2 Android app and application/module with 7.0.3 and it seems to be fine (for now)… I just download “Sign your estimates (by month)” from the Play Store and it does allow technician and customer signatures. However, paying for each option, the email attachment function doesn’t seem to work with Outlook, your point about development stopping around a year ago and not responding your emails isn’t reassuring. Maybe @Eldy can shed some light on this as he is a developer of both Dolibarr and DoliDroid.

I tried the same yesterday. I downloaded the myDoli app for iPhone and tried it. Basically it was working. One other thing I read is that myDoli does not support encrypted communication over SSL which is absolutely mandatory for us. This, and the fact that the developer is not answering at all, leads me to the point of not considering myDoli for our company anymore…

But let’s see. Maybe we’ll here something here in short from someone with some more background knowledge.
