I’m new to dolibarr and still learning what’s possible. I came across dolibarr because of license change of the product we’re using right now, so it was time for something new. One of the most important aspects was the same look of our invoices, kinda as if we never changed the product. Dolibarr is giving the great opportunity to simple create your own layout with odt templates but also with some more effort in php. After checking how to create a php template and realizing the effort one has to put in, I checked dolistore. Plenty of options for PDF templates, but one wasooking great, price wise and what you can do.
Pictures didn’t show what exactly is possible so I contacted the developer per mail, added a quote we actually sending out to customers and asked if it’s possible to create a layout like that. I didn’t take long and Thomas, obviously the developer, answered. Out of the box it’s not possible, but he can make some changes on the module and it will be possible. Wow, that’s something I didn’t expect. He also offered to have a call and he will walk me through the options of the module… even more wow!! A few days later we had a call for almost 2 hours where he walked me though all options of the module.
He even offered, whenever we need another change, just send a mail and he will check what’s possible. Because of that, of course we decided to buy the module. Unfortunately installation didn’t work as we hoped for and we sent a mail. He immediately called and helped until it was working. That’s something I even didn’t have seen when it comes to product for 4 digits and more.
At the end, that experience is one of the reasons why we decided to use dolibarr, the support you can get from smaller developer is beyond everything one knows from bigger companies. And the product he’s offering is, compared to the rest on the market, definitely one of the best, maybe the best. Not just a PDF designer to modify your documents, but also FacturaX export is included. And that’s for less than 100 bucks.
