Have Trouble About Installation

Installing my Dolibarr

It is really wonderful that when I met Dolibarr referring from Wikipedia.
I have tried a lot of ERP system such as Open Bravo, Open ERP, Blue ERP. Dolibarr is the only one that is easy to install. Actually, I have tried to use it for my company since November last year with localhost and it work perfectly well. Up to now no trouble at all. Besides, this is the only ERP system that come with photos with the product. It is really helpful for our business.

We sell the luxurious bathroom product from France. That include Watergame Hydrobain System, Crystal et Bronze Bathroom accessories and Jandelle Basin.

Best of all we just click a few steps the interface can easily turn from French, English and Chinese. Wonderful!!!

However,our company is growing with Greater China market and we need more than two user in different location. We hope that our accountant in Shenzhen can use the program where the solution of ERP on a single platform could be fulfilled.

However, I took your advice of not importing sql file through phpmyadmin
What I did I start everything from scratch. I deleted the conf/conf.php (old one) and create an blank one. I uploaded the blank conf.php file and call the installation file. I have tried to create the database file and super user the installer could not go further error message appear:

Access denied for user ‘a4140830_matthew’@‘10.1.1.33’ to database

If and only is I created database in 000webhost and call installer I can complete the installation ultimately. However, the same old message appear on the top

Warning: realpath() [function.realpath]: open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/usr/local/apache/htdocs) is not within the allowed path(s): (/home/:/usr/lib/php:/tmp) in /home/a4140830/public_html/filefunc.inc.php on line 141

Besides, on user docs you mention to upload all file from htdocs. Do you mean upload the whole folder of Dolibarr or just the folder under htdocs?

you can upload content of htdocs or all root. The only change is final url. all files outsided htdocs are not used for a web usage.
For open_basedire restriction, can you provide content of conf.php file for $dolibarr_main_document_root
$dolibarr_main_data_root
you should set here a value that is inside /home

other solution is to edit your php.ini to add /usr/local/apache into open_basedir param.
