hello, I’m writing a thesis about dolibarr, I’m confused to explain which section is called a module, if the customer relationship management section is called a module then the menus contained therein are like third parties, proposals called what?, or are third parties called modules? thank you
According to the wiki, the individual “blocks” within the “sections” are referenced as modules:
I think I have seen the “sections” referenced as module groups somewhere.
Modules is a features of any ERP system, (Project Job Costing Module (PJCM), Sales Module (CRM), Purchases Module (VCM), Inventory Module, General Ledger Module, Accounts Payable Module, Accounts Recievables Module, Fixed Assets Module, Banking Module)
Above are all the modules that ERP system are featurings: Now we will apply these concept to Dolibarr
Note: Modules can be turn On/Off otherwise it is not a module
CRM, Customer Relationship Management or Sales Module, You cannot see a section called Sales module or CRM in Dolibar but it is down there in the Third Party (You can call it TPM Third Party Module) this is a simplification method because Most of the ERP does not have the (Middle Thing), I mean inbetween Customer and Vendor (in Dolibarr you can register them as a member nor Customer nor Vendor) e.g. Agent.
In short below is the Modular system of Dolibarr:
- Membership Module
- Third Party Module
- Products Module
- MRP (Manufacturing Module)
- Project Module
- Commerce Module
- Billing Module
- Banking Module
- Accounting Module
- Human Resources Management Module
- Documents Control Module
- Agenda Module
- Ticketing Module
- Tools Module.
The features I mentioned above is already included from 1 to up 14. Oh, That’s all
