HELP. Dolibarr wont open

Hi,
I have tried to do an update, but am now unable to access my database at all?
when I try to open Dolibarr the browser page reads:

Parse error : syntax error, unexpected ‘|’, expecting ‘)’ in C:\dolibarr\www\dolibarr\htdocs\core\lib\functions.lib.php on line 6736

Does anyone know what I need to do to sort this please?

Most probably, the files were not transferred properly.
How do you transfer them ?

Hi,
Hadn’t got the transfer stage. I was simple following the instructions online.
Literally all that has been done is new version downloaded?
