How to create a new dataset to export

Hi,

I want to export only the customer data into excel.When I create a customer it creates the contact automatically however for some reason it does not copy the phone number field into the contact field. That is why when I export the Thirdparty data set it does not export the phone number. I have to separately go and update the phone in the contact list.
So in order to have the solution, I have following question.

  1. How to get the phone information automatically from customer data to contact data.
  2. How do I define my own data set for export so that I can customise my own data sets for the regular exports I want.
    Your help is highly apprecitated.

Hi, Let me clarify if possible. When you create a “customer” take care NOT to create a contact (which create automatically a third party [a company if you prefer]).
In Dolibarr for each “company” you will be able to add (attach) many “contacts” (physical persons [employees] with a postal adress a direct phone number, a personal mail or different locations (postal adress for invoice, postal adress for proposal, …)
If you want to export a set of datas relevant to all the “Contact” you have, use the appropriate tool in Dolibarr and save your own export for the next use.
