could it be possible to add these features to dolibarr?
The reason for IMAP is that every sent mail will remain in a configured folder (usually the sent mail folder, but maybe want to configure other like, sent invoices, sent estimates, sent supplier order and so on) of the user mail server, making more easy to know if an invoice or other documents were sent and when and the possibility to forward the original one, mantaining la original send date.
The blind copy will add a powerfull option to the actual and brilliant way to send emails from dolibarr.
I think it will be great if an android app could be launched, and also could make Dolibarr grow much faster.
It’s only roundcube in an iframe at the moment, but some want to go further and it may become a real integration of roundcube in the module.
The bcc option is effectively missing in dolibarr (though i saw a ccc option in the code that is not used, and i wander if it’s not a mistake and coded for bcc); in any case it must be easy to implement in core classes (otherwise it is native in roundcube, so if we go further in integration…)
For the android app, there are some people who have posted on the dolibarr-dev mailing-list that they would like to participate in the next GSOC (Google Summer Of Code) and many said they want to develop an Android app… they are just waiting for Dolibarr to be selected for GSOC2013, as far as i understood.
Thank you very much for the answer and all details altairis, i´ll be waiting to know all these changes, specially the Android part.
By the way, the way that I will like to use IMAP in Dolibarr is just using an existing account in an existing IMAP server, the one I´ve been using several years ago, and the way that fits my point of view could be, adding the configuration to make it work in this scenario. I work alone, and most part of the time out of the office, my approach is use IMAP the same way as POP it´s been using right now in Dolibarr.
Just adding the IMAP account configuration to make possible the send, and the sent items folder where i want Dolibarr saves all sent mails, in that way, I could create a new folder in my actual server called “Sent from Dolibarr” that will always be accesible from every device and it will let me know when i sent an estimate, an invoice, etc., and letting me forward it once again from my mobile device or my desktop email app. I also think that in that way, the integration maybe can be much more lightly.
The roudcube integration sounds too interesting, but I guess maybe this configuration could be great idea for a new company who´s going to use a new domain or new email accounts but force all the others to move the actual email server within Dolibarr, don´t you think?, of course that is only my point of view.
Thank you in any case, and I hope to read some more comments about this theme.
