Issues in v. 20.*

Hi all, i have one issue and one question here after i have updated to version 20.*
Q: How can i change the number of records that are showing in the widgets? In the oldest version there were a field in Setup/Widgets where i could type a number. Now the field is not there. Also in the Open Accounts: balances widget i am only seeing the first 3 accounts, the rest are hidden and if i want to see all of them i have to go to the Bank/Cash tab.

I: When there is a records moving along, in order to refresh the numbers i have to log out, clear the cache and log in again. Is there some settings i am missing in the new version or something is wrong? I had no issues during the update process.

Hey @nikolay86, have you figured out any answers for this? I migrate from 18.0.4 to 21.0.2 and the missing parameter to show number of lines in the widgets is driving me crazy! Really screwing things up. Have you found a solution?

Found it (thanks to @Philazerty in the French forum). They moved it!

Setup>Display>Default max length for short lists (i.e. in customer card)

Boy did I just waste a ton of hours finding that. :expressionless_face:

Glad it could help. I know that for me, I was tearing my hair out, but I only use Dolibarr once a month, so I’m not up on all the little things that change (like that). I like to keep the software relatively up-to-date but it’s usually just a surprise for me when I open it up after updating. I’m guessing some (most?) folks pour over the change log and figure out what will change for them from release to release. I’m probably what would be called a “casual” user, but Dolibarr is a very important link in my billing chain.

Yeah, i see your point. We are using the script in the entire organization for over 2 years now, fully implemented and we are relying on 100% of the system. It turns out quite effective, easy to use and without much efforts maintaining it. We are using it every day for multiple activities as main operation system. Just the CRM section we are a bit unhappy and therefore we have another solution for it.
All and all it is very good, if only those little changes and movements of different settings could be avoided it would be great.
