Hello,
I had dolibarr running on my old pc which got ruined. I had not done a backup.
Anyway I installed the app on a new laptop, but the login is not working.
Are the files on my old pc or are they on a web server? (sorry for the stupid question guys but this is really important) 
Is there any way to login and retreive the data?

Hi Antoun,
Was your Dolibarr installed locally or on the web server? If locally then all your files are on your old PC.
The app was installed on my desktop, but when I run it, it opens a web browser automaticaly.
So I am not sure where the data was stored.
I tried installing the app on another pc and running it but the username and password won’t work. (maybe i have to add the company name somewhere??)
What do you suggest I try doing?

If Dolibarr was installed on your PC then all your files and configuration files are on that PC and you will not be able to access it from a different PC. What OS did you have on your old PC? Is the hard drive working? Can you connect the hard drive from your old PC to the new one to browse the files on it?
