Looking best practices for two workflows

Hi there,

We are a small dive shop in the Philippines working on a Dolibarr implementation, and have a few questions regards to our workflows.

Staff and ‘Cash Advances’ aka loans for staff.
In between pay periods, it’s quite common for our staff to request a cash advance. I’ve currently been using the Loan module to keep track of these requests. It correctly deducts the funds from our cash account, however there is no clear way to credit the cash account using this module. I realize this module is not ideal for this workflow. I’ve created a Loan Repayment supplier to inject the cash back into the cash account, but again this is a bit of a work-around. Is there a best practice for this type of workflow that I should be considering?

5% uplift in invoice charges for CC payments
It’s very common here to uplift any card payments by 5% when a customer pays via CC. I’ve currently been going to each line item and setting the price reduction percentage to ‘-5’ to accommodate for these uplifts. Unfortunately this complicates the client invoice as well as adds many steps to invoice validation - we have to do this in front of the customer as it’s usually when they are paying that we need to perform this workflow. Is there a best practice that we could use to simplify this?

Hi there,
unfortunately i can’t help you with the first matter - we are not using this module for our staff.
For the second part i can suggest you to try with this one: when you are creating the customer in it’s carton you may include the discount of 5% and payment method by Credit Card. If the customers pay almost every time by CC then this is the most easiest way to manage it. But you’ll have to decide what is the best for you in this case.

BR!

bump, any other ideas on the cash loans?

What if you create one bank account per user, then starting balance is loan amount, then credit/debit per date each time you need to? Transactions will show and look like a statement.
