newbe questions - selecting the right CRM

Hi
I am selecting the right CRM for me and it seems to me that Dolibar would be the right choice. Could you please comment on my requirements? Whether it’s possible to achieve something like that in Dolibarr?

  1. I need to set up permissions for contacts/leads so sales divided by region can’t access each others contacts
  2. on top of that I want to have fields within records that only myself will be able to access
  3. can I set up automatic backup of the system? In case of disaster recovery?
  4. can I eamil from the system so the email is attached to the history of the contact?
  5. when recepient of email sent from the system replies it is attached to the history of the contact
  6. can I set up email campaigns so they are triggered automatically?
  7. can I have different campaigns and for each separate way to unsubscribe? Not only one type to unsubscribe from all emails
  8. can I send responsive emails from the system?
  9. Im planning to run Dolibarr on linode.com. Any comments/suggestion around that?
  10. is there an android client for Dolibarr?
  11. can I create leads and then convert them to contacts?
  12. can I create events and link contacts with events?

Dolibar is ERP centric with some useful CRM-features. BUT it is not a CRM system.

For CRM you should look also into SugarCRM and their forks like Vtiger, YetiForce, coreBOS etc.

Whatever of your feature requests dominates your daily work will help you to decide.

There exist some good websites too, which offer compregensive comparisons. Otherwise you have to use your ow comparison table.

hm, from the look I had around I got the impression that most of my requirements are met by Dolbarr. So it would be ok for me to use it although it’s more ERP than CRM.

I am the most concern about the points 1-6. Could you comment on them?

    N/A also permissions conc. certain tasks are possible for groups and/or users. Iron wall only for Events/Tasks

    Yes comprehensive backup/restore built into Dolibarr. Must be triggered manually.

    Partly. Event is created for history.

    Yes, but not trigeed automatically
