[newbie] Using Dolibarr to manage an ISP

Hello,
I am a little Internet Service Provider. I am learning and evaluating Dolibarr.
It seems Dolibarr can do everything I need but I miss some points and I ask your help:

  1. in a recurring invoice from a contract can I automatically add a time period (eg: “invoice for January-February” or “invoice for 1/1/2022 to 31/1/2022 period”)
  2. as an isp I have a “service” called “internet line fttc” that I buy from my supplier and I resell to my customers. It is a service and not a product because obviously I cannot put it in stock and it is not material. Questions:
  • can I check at the end of the month that I bought 20 units and I sold 20 units?
  • going deeper can I associate the line of the passive invoice to the line of the active invoice? So I can know exactly that “fttc from supplier X” has been sold to customer Y?

Thanks in advance for help.
Mario

Hi Mario

  • can I check at the end of the month that I bought 20 units and I sold 20 units?

If you associate that service with a tag / category, the statistics of the products / services should give you the result you are looking for

  • going deeper can I associate the line of the passive invoice to the line of the active invoice? So I can know exactly that “fttc from supplier X” has been sold to customer Y?

using lots could solve your problem

Are you Italian?

Marcello

Thanks for replies. Yes I am italian. I have tried to use Odoo but I had a bad experience. Now I discovered Dolibarr and I am following another approach: I will try to discover by myself is Dolibarr is useful for my situation and then I will contact some italian partner for support.
Are you an end user or a Dolibarr reseller?
Thanks,
Mario

Hello,

You have Italian forum here : https://www.dolibarr.it/

I would also look at BoxBilling ( https://www.boxbilling.org/) it’s designed explicitly for webhosting but dollibar can be used just as well
