POS Not read Quantity and Weight

i have supermarket and scale barcode contain (Product barcode - Quantity and Weight - check digit) like 4000555020002
Type EAN13
Product barcode 4000555
Weight 02000 (its 2 KG)
Check Digit 2

Pos Only Read Product Code without weight
How to make it read the Weight

I think, that solution for this problem is EAN128. EAN13 is marking standard for products.
