Possible on the record locking?

is there anyway we can locked the record while someone is editing or showing which user is in the same record? Reason being was we always have a team working on the quote but sometime they are overwriting each others data especially during the work from home period caused communication harder.

If the system can show there is someone editing, or showing the record are locked by someone, it will be a great benefits.

This is also an issue for us.
The larger the user base the bigger this problem gets.

We might need something like the locking mechanism in WordPress.
