remove standard attributes from products

Dear friends,
I’m working with Dolibarr since 2 weeks only and I’m still in the setup-process. I’m IT-guy since 20 years, worked a lots with databases, so I could remove the fields there, but fear to destroy essential constraint-relations. Therefore my question is: Is it possible to individualize the GUI for products, REMOVING standard-fields with setup-menu?

I have interest too to understand how to hide some fields in the products form as well as in other form.
Can you suggest me your solution?

Personally I think that it’s much more easier to hide rather than to remove not relevant fields.

Hi maverjk,
if you know how to deal with php-files, it’s not to difficult. While you go to the setup for modules, you will see in the browsers address-bar the module-name (like product.php for products). If you search this file on your OS and edit it - simple comment out the fields you don’t need, it’s done. For me it worked.
But be very carefull!!!: some fields are mandatory = keys in database and then you run into problems.
Best, you save the original file, before changing anything :happy:
