Services have inventory(stock) movements(Solved)

Version 2.8.0

Seems that when you create a service and you make an expedition then the service has an inventory(stock) momvement! and this is also being registered in the table of the stock movements.

So when you do a listing of the stocks and check out one of the warehouses then you find also services inside this listing!
I suppose a service is not a product and so does not need to have stock movements.

The same happens when you create a “product” with “associated products” inside! It is normal that when you send a product there is a stock movement, however when you have inside the product associated products then the product itself should not have a movement but the associated products yes! Possible to fix this?
This will avoid the negative stocks and give a better visibility.

For me the best way to make this work good is to add another option in the product nature(it has already ‘first material’ and ‘manufactured product’), add there “nomenclature”(or associated products) and when you chose this option you have the possibility to add the associated products.
When using this option also there are not stock movements on the product itself.

Hope this is possible to fix in this way.

Thanks in advance.

for services, this should be a bug.

for associated products, it is done on purpose. associated product was designed to manage “set” or “kit” of product.
You are right about adding an option. I add this on todo. But i see this differently: a global option on associated product parent “Increase/Decrease also stock of associated product”. This is an independant choice of product nature.

services bug O.K.

Understand.
Hope you are able to realise the option in the near future, think this is also usefull for the others…

I fixed the bug for services. Not that you can still make an expedition (this is to prepare a feature to allow to use a “virtual stock” for services, for example when you have a limited amount of services to offer at same time).
But the default value for quantity to ship is 0 for services. So no stock change is done by default.

Yes, as long as the stock for the services does not change even when you make an expedition then this is what we need.

Thanks again…
