Status of quotes and orders.

Hello, I use Dolibarr 3.2.2 and I find this strange situation.

I do as follows, create a quote, its status is draft, then I confirm it, and changes status to Signed, after that I transform that quote to an order, and
the status of the quote remains the same, same thing is when from an order I create an invoice, the quote still remains signed, and the order validated.

This should be changed automatically when you create an invoice isnt it ?

No.
By default, all elements are independent.

You may decide to close an order after making an invoices but may not (you may prefer do that after products as sent).
You can also have a look at module workflow that may create automatic change between elements. In future we may add it such behaviour into this module.

Ok, thanks for the clarification. Indeed its totally correct like it works.
Now that I think about it, but I will take a look in the workflow module options.

But thinking about it again, I still think that the quote should change the state to closed when you create an order.

I don’t know in other businesses, but in my business, when i close one quote, I get and order from my customer. So if he needs anything else, we do another quote and eventually join the orders. Or simply modify the order. This means that for me when I have the order from my customer this particular quote is closed, and never more used, except if you copy it.

Now when I have the order I can deliver the full quantity or not, but this leaves open my order and not the quote.

So imho at least the quote should close automatically when we create an order.
