Hello Dolibarr, good afternoon, please i need suggestion for using dolibarr when having 2 -3 shops/boutiques… i want all the boutiques to use same products/categories/items but different stocks takes and sales…
should i create a new folder and name it shop2 in html and install or clone dolibarr to new folder with new database and then restore the catetegories/productes from 1st shop backup.
option 2. is it advice to use same database and url folder, but will create a new warehouse name it SHOP2, then when adding or validating stocks can choose which the warehouse to use… also can force use some terminal to only use stocksdecrease in SHOP2.
this option 2 seems okay but i dont know if it will cause issue in future with database.
The second solution seems alright, however a bit complicated to really assess how well one store is performing as compared to the other. Personally, I’d go for the first solution. Of course there’s a complementary module that’s a bit pricey maybe, but as it allows to share all settings between three enterprises, you would recoup that pretty soon. It’s called multi society. Worth checking. As far as I know you can share different kinds of information between entities.
Cheers
Christo
For a future proof solution you should consider the Dolibarr module Multi-company. This solves your problem using just one database sharing products with multiple stock and more. You even can create different types of invoices for shop-1 shop-2 etc.
This module will keep your Dolibarr stable and suited for future updates of Dolibarr.

Alright, thanks all for the suggestion, i have checked up the module mult company, it seems professional and perfect, but the module fee, is it one time payment or needs renew same amount annualy.
Depending on your Dolibarr upgrade strategy you may have some returning cost involved.
At inodbox.com they charge you like: Upgrades and free support for 1 year then 50% discount on renewals.
So when you want to keep up with the yearly Dolibarr upgrades you have to pay a yearly fee.
Btw: A lot of our Dolibarr customers stay on the same version level for more than a year and sometimes even longer.
