Testing Dolibarr, in Canada our Tax is called HST, Dolibarr appears to have 2 rates, cant find how to change its name

Hi (VERY new, still testing)

In Canada all paperwork must have TAX shown as HST, this raises a few questions:

  • I cant seem to find a way to NAME the tax?
  • It appears to be stuck at 0, 5 or 7% only, its 13% here… am i missing something?

Many Thanks

Hi,

For the first point you can force translation on the translation menu
For the second point, you need to change the tax dictionary

Hi

Being new to this, where is the “translation menu” i need? also where is the “tax dictionary”?

Many Thanks

For Translation:
Home -> Setup -> Translation
(I don’t think you will actually need to edit anything in here though. But you can search using the third column for the text you want to update)

For Tax Rate Changes:
Home -> Setup -> Dictionaries -> VAT Rates or Sales Tax Rates

Set the country filter to Canada (CA) to see the Canadian rates programmed in.

The very top row allows you to create a new tax rate. I added 13% HST and 15% HST for NL at various times in the past. You can add various provincial rates here as required if you are selling products in various jurisdictions.

Hi

Thanks, found this, whats the NPR setting?
