So let’s be honest, the default interface for Dolibarr looks like it was stolen from the 90’s. They called in fact, and want it back.
In order to try and make the system feel more modern not list every possible option under the sun, we purchased the Oblyon theme for Dolibarr. Sadly, it looks like a freak of nature. Almost everything looks fine, except: the user image for login/logout/settings on the right side is bigger than the menubar itself. The printer/logout/documentation buttons are duplicated rather than being replaced (so it shows two icons side by side), and the module list is so out of line it looks like it was just haphazard.
Despite listing “3 years” support for the theme, the maintainer has failed to answer emails in regards to his product, but apparently is more than happy to accept money for a piece of nearly useless software. It looks so close to being what we want, but these outstanding problems make it impossible to use - the icon even covers the search field!
Does anyone have a working version of the theme for 6.x? Does anyone have valid contact for the developer so he can actually be reached… orr can someone point me in the right direction needed to remove these duplication issues and enforce a picture size that matches the toolbar?
Thanks in advance, hopefully there is a solution for this that doesn’t end up being a full refund due to a disinterested developer.
Most popular theme on the store and 0 responses/support for it?
This theme should either be removed or the developer should. No one is going to want to use the 4.0 version of an ERP just for a single theme. Not to mention I’ve now wasted money and time on something that doesn’t work. I will be tracking down this developer to find out why there is such a blatant disregard for supporting his own work. Amazes me that he is listed here as a developer when he cannot respond to any emails/messages.
No response via emails or even his own submission form on his site after weeks of attempting to reach him. Avoid any of his products as he obviously has 0 interest in them.
That link to the version 6 did not appear until just recently. I do not know why he refused to answer yet then posts a version on github without responding.
The issue was not a matter of installation location. It was installed and activating but it was missing entire css classes to manage the login photo resizes so everything would overflow. In addition, the module list was completely out of line.
I had to edit the css file myself to get something that is working now. I’ll be waiting for him to fix issues with his version 6 before I use anything. Had that been posted when I’d purchased the theme before, I would still be in the same place since obviously it is still beta. The old version should have been opensource and free as soon as it no longer applied to the current version of Dolibarr. Had to pay for something that still required development to make work.
After trying it out for a few days, I have noticed a number of issue and understand your frustration after paying for what was made free. Now that it’s on GitHub, hopefully others will get it to where it should be for you.
