Unique Employee numnber

Hi,

I would like to create for each of my employees a unique employee number so Dave Smith in sales and Dave Smith in accounting can be differentiated…
How to do so.

Hi @tduroyon,
You can use:

  1. Groups to separate users
  2. Tags/Categories to do the same in other way
  3. Extra fields to create a new attribute in user cards

I look at this but I am not clear on how to create a field that will give an automatic unique number adding +1 every time or following a logic.
Sorry I am a real rookie on this
