Upgrade from 3.5.2 to 13.0.4 (MAMP 5.5) : current install not detected

Hi all,

I’m trying to upgrade a (very) old Dolibarr.
It lived in /Applications/MAMP/htdocs/

I copied the unzipped files to this folder, which caused an install to be triggered when connecting.
But no offer was made to upgrade (only new install)

I read that the script might be fooled by the folder used, so I changed it to /Applications/MAMP/
(I also changed dolibarr_main_document_root in conf.php to ‘/Applications/MAMP/dolibarr/htdocs’)
Again, I copied the 13.0.4 files (I had restored 3.5.2 from a time machine backup)
Still, no offer made to upgrade…

What should I check please ?

normal advice is to do a version upgrade 3.5.2 → 4. ->5. until 13.0.4

I thought copying 13.0.4 would ask if I want to upgrade and offer me a choice (3.5.2 to 4 4 to 5 , but

Hello,

When you copy the files, you have erased the previous ones ?
Basically, the installation script search for a conf.php that should be in ../conf/conf.php

My problem was that I had Dolibarr installed in 2 different folders. Silly me !
The upgrade has now been done.
