Using barcode scanner

Hello,
I have been using dolibarr 12.0.3 hosted in a AWS cloud server. In terms of completing a good receive note (GRN), I want to scan the barcode or serial number using a barcode scanner.

  1. Does this application support hand barcode scanner? If so, does it plug & play, or need an additional configuration?
  2. Is it possible to do the scanning part using mobile phone rather than using a scanner device?

Please advice me?

Normaly yes it support barcode scanner.
For phone, you have external modules like : Mobilid https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.zapplica.mobilid

Thank you for your prompt reply. It is very much useful. I just downloaded the mobilid app to my phone. How could I configure the app in order to work with my cloud hosted dolibarr application? What are the required parameters?

This is an external development so you need to contact the developer.
As far as I know you need alse the module on Dolibarr : https://www.dolistore.com/en/modules/407-Connector-for-Mobilid-Mobile-app.html
