What the use of email sender profile tab

I want to know what the use of “Email sender profile” tab under email setup page ? I am attaching an image and i am using Dolibarr version 9

Basically dolibarr allows you to sent emails. With this feature the system allows you to sent an email as someone else, for example I am using this feature to send an email as sales@mycompany.com where sales@mycompany.com is an email list for all the people working in sales department. So when the client replys to it everyone receives the answer.

In this feature you can even define the signature of this Sender Profile but I am not sure how to use it in the email templates. Maybe @eldy can help with this.
I would expect something like SENDER_SIGNATURE_

I can add to this, I believe this function is purely for email aliases that share the same SMTP ID and SMTP password that you add during setup.

However, it will not work with emails that are not aliases, because they do not share the same SMTP ID and SMTP password.

I have tested that this is the case.
