What's the difference between "for sale" and "for purchase"?

When creating a new product or new service, there are 2 questions on the forms.

For Sale
For Purchase

I am not sure what the difference between these two options are? Can someone please explain?

Either you buy it or you sell it.

Oh, thanks. I guess I keep forgetting that you enter products for both vendors and products that you yourself also sell.

Agreed, to further expand…

For Sale will enable certain pages and show items in lists and calculations etc more associated to sales.
For Purchase will enable certain pages and show items in lists and calculations etc more associated to purchases.
