Why can't we add a reception to an order without stock products?

We have created a vendor order for some important legal documents (i.e. non-stocked products) that are sent to us via registered mail to make sure it doesn’t get lost in mail. We would like to add tracking info to this order with a Reception, so we can keep track of it. However, Dolibarr won’t let us because it will only create a Reception when there’s a stockable product in the order. The documents we are waiting for is not a product we stock or sell, but we would still like to add tracking to it.

Is there a hidden option to set that lets us add tracking info for non-products?

I am not sure about any solution we have in Dolibarr like you said but one thing you can do that is create a custom module only to receive doc against a particular object(record) like order, invoice etc.

Kindly you can adjust this from the Module Setup of the STOCK module
see the following Screen ok , try to make the Second option to be OFF
and check . if not working try to make the first option ( Stock can be negative ) = on , check and let me know . Thanks
