Bulk update of prices(buying & Selling) for products

Hi Ksar,
Trust you have been well.

The link below is an issue handled at Github that you closed sometimes in 2022 ending. Its a solution for bulk update of prices for selling and buying prices for products (I guess an option for updating prices of products without doing it product by product).

I have update my instance files with the solution files, but i didnt see where this is achieved. I have gone to Buying prices for each product, i have checked margins too, but nothing of such.

Please can you help with where it is? or is the solution yet to be completed?

Hi @Absmachin
In Products and services click on list in left vertical menu then choose some or all products and a combo box will appear on top of the page. There you’ll see the option for bulk update of prices.

Thanks for the great work done.

But i observe it only affects selling price and not cost price or best buying price.

To get the real profit, a change a selling price(upwards or downwards) should reflect a change in cost price.

What i mean is the option to change cost price same way for selling price should be available.

In my country, the forex condition makes cost to fluctuate and as such need to change the cost price to reflect landing cost and selling price to accommodate changes to reflect true position of profitability.

Or maybe i am not getting the solution right?

If the price can not be updated inside Dolibarr, then it seems like the API can be used to both adjust the selling and purchase price.

If you don’t know, I don’t think it is for you, but you could hire a programmer to code something that uses the Dolibarr API to modify your data

The price update works for selling price only but doesnt cover cost prices.

If the cost price is not accurate the profit margin would be wrong thus creating wrong profit info.

The tool like the selling price increase shld also be created for cost price and business owners can determine if they want to update selling price only, cost only or both sides

I think it the already made solution should work for both, maybe i am the one yet to discover how

If anyone knows about it, kindly furnish us with info.
