Hello,
I was wondering if Companies House in the UK recognised Dolibarr for filing accounts.
I am a micro entity, so I guess there is not that many constraints, but I am just checking.
Thanks for your help.
Hi @sacrelolo
As of now, Dolibarr is not officially recognised by Companies House UK for direct filing of accounts. However, as a micro-entity, you can still use Dolibarr to manage your financials, generate reports, and then file manually through Companies House or with the help of compliant accounting software.
I’m a Dolibarr developer and work remotely for a UK-based IT firm. We have several clients using Dolibarr in the UK, and it’s possible that some of them use it in combination with other tools to meet filing requirements, especially for micro-entities with simpler needs.
Thanks
Saikat
Hello,
Thank you very much for your kind answer. I appreciate it.
what would it take for Dolibarr to be filing automatically? perhaps even automagically?
You are most welcome.
Hi @jonbendtsen
Thanks for your question, and I really liked the “automagically” part!
I’m a Dolibarr developer from India, working remotely for a UK-based IT company. While I don’t have deep insight into the exact filing requirements for Companies House, I can share a few possibilities that could potentially be implemented:
-
Companies House API Integration:
A custom Dolibarr module could be developed to connect with the Companies House API for submitting micro-entity accounts directly. -
UK-Compliant Report Formatting:
Dolibarr would need to generate accounting reports in the format expected by UK regulations (like balance sheet and P&L under FRS 105). -
Bridging Software or Export:
Many UK users export reports from Dolibarr and file manually or through third-party software that is certified for UK filings.
While Dolibarr doesn’t currently support automatic filing, with some custom development, these features could be explored.
Thanks
