I am looking for a solution that supports folder synchronization and a layout comparable to Outlook or Gmail. I think you are making a BIIIIIG ask. To make such a module would be a huge task, because you are basically asking to do a full replication of an email client.
Why is it that you feel you need this functionality. Can less do what you want? What is the core essence that you need?
