Hello, I’m curious. I have created a mail template and I need to send this mail template to a group on Tuesdays every week and I do not want to select the people in this group one by one. Is it possible to send a mass e-mail to the group?
I would like to know if there is a way to create a diffusion list too.
To be more descriptive, I need a diffusion list to be able to send email to all adherents that are in “Group A”. Making an emailing with all recipients making the “Group A” isn’t really optimal. Even if I created an empty emailing with all the recipients in “Group A”, it mean I would have to search for a previous emailing, write it, then search for the recipient list manually if I wanted to add or remove members.
And if I would like to write to “Group A” again, I would need to find the last emailing, edit it, then add/remove the members that have changed since then.
I’ve tried using Third Parties, but it doesn’t look like you can add contact of a third party as recipient (you can add contact, but not select only contact of a specific third party) + you can’t make a contact out of an adherent so that would mean having to duplicate data.
I think the closest tool to what I want is the Tag Module. I can directly add “Group A” tag from the adherent page and add all members of “Group A” as recipients.
Do you know any better way to make a diffusion list of adherent?

You would like to have a list of all contacts tagged with “Group A”? correct?
Due to the tag the group would be flexible. Means you can set the tag to new contacts or remove it if you don’t like them in the list any more.
Recently I did something very similar. The new module will list all e-mail addresses and can be filtered by standard and/or extra fields.
The module I did was giving an csv output but could be adapted to go directly into mass-e-mail (need to check).
Would you be able to do some testing during the development?
I would be interested yes. Being able to filter email address by value of an extrafield directly into an emailing would be really practical.
